Verdicts are our posts about genuine FPL dilemmas. Each one follows the same rules, so you can trust that the coin really made the call.
1. Research comes first
Every Verdict starts with proper research: fixtures, form, minutes, injury news and price. We set out the case for each option fairly. If the research shows one option is clearly better, we say so and don't flip. The coin is only for decisions that are genuinely too close to call.
2. One flip, done live, never re-rolled
We flip once, using the same tool you use, and record it. We never flip again to get a different answer, and we never pick a result to suit the story. Whatever the coin says goes in the post.
Our pre-launch Season Verdicts (GW1 to GW5 of 2026/27) were flipped live before each deadline with a generic coin app, before FPL Shrine existed. Everything else in this policy applied to them.
3. Results reported honestly
After the gameweek we update the post with how both options actually scored and add it to the coin's running record, whether the coin got it right or badly wrong.
4. Corrections
If we get a fact wrong, we fix it and note the correction at the bottom of the post. Spotted something? Email hello@fplshrine.com.
5. Independence
Verdicts are not sponsored, and nobody pays us to feature a player, club or product. If that ever changes, we will label it clearly. FPL Shrine is not affiliated with the Premier League or Fantasy Premier League.
6. No gambling
FPL Shrine is about fun decisions in a free game. We don't promote or link to gambling, and Verdicts never present the coin as a way to win money.
